These information stays in the user’s browser for the lifetime of that cookie, lifetime that is determined by each advertiser, through cookie life. When the customer completes an order, the platform automatically checks if there is a valid cookie associated with a promotional action. If so, the data from that cookie is read and used to attribute the conversion to the responsible affiliate. Based on this attribution, the affiliate receives the corresponding commission, according to the terms of the active affiliate program.
