Affiliates place unique affiliate links to promote products (e.g. on their websites, in email campaigns, in search listings, in paid campaigns, etc.). When a user clicks on these links and performs the commissioned action on the advertiser's website (purchase of a product), the transaction is tracked online through cookies. When purchasing a product, the user interacts directly with the advertiser and the affiliate receives a commission for that transaction. In an **affiliate marketing** program, the advertiser pays for the actions that the user sends to his website, instead of paying in advance for the space used for advertising. This entire process is made possible through the 2Performant platform, which provides the technological solution and the necessary support for performance. - [For Advertisers](https://support.2performant.com/for-advertisers?hsLang=en#main-content) - [1.
